Or in my case the normal hotter than Hades FL hot! :) Thanks for passing along the recipe!
~ingrid
ingridhttp://baseballbakingandbooks.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7385115794586298106.post-57201674202423326372010-02-11T19:34:38.000-06:002010-02-11T19:34:38.000-06:00It's fairly unusual that I run across a recipe...It's fairly unusual that I run across a recipe that I know that I simply must make immediately. But when I saw this one, I knew that I wouldn't get through the weekend without trying it. I prepared it tonight, in advance of the supposed snow, and it is perfection. I'm so glad to have a new dessert in my make-and-take arsenal for very special occasions.
I hope you get enough snow to enjoy up there in Wayne County. I'm trying not to get my hopes up here in Fairhope, but the weatherman seems pretty sure about this one. The last real snow that I saw was in north Mississippi in January of 2000!
Marcusnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7385115794586298106.post-39293673938644699332010-02-11T02:26:50.000-06:002010-02-11T02:26:50.000-06:00Y'all, they were really, really good. JUST KIDDING. Yes, you can, but might I suggest leaving off the zest and reducing the lime juice to 2 tablespoons? I think the lime juice adds so much but it's not super strong or overwhelming in the first place. If your thinking it tastes like a Key Lime pie, it doesn't.
Loriehttp://www.ricebeansotherfinethings.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7385115794586298106.post-32510699276692323472010-02-11T01:21:06.000-06:002010-02-11T01:21:06.000-06:00Yum. I personally am not crazy about lime, so it should be fine to leave off the juice and zest huh?
Lisanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7385115794586298106.post-28112096082993183322010-02-10T14:25:02.000-06:002010-02-10T14:25:02.000-06:00Gosh, I'm glad that I was gone when you were g...Gosh, I'm glad that I was gone when you were giving them away!!!
